About

KYOTO CANVAS is all about acute attention to the timeless beauty of our city Kyoto, and fabric designs inspired by that. The vision and the affection for hand-dyed patterns have materialized in collections that stretch across decades of inspiration. The strength of the brand is the magic between the design and craftsmanship.
Design
Yuki, the founder of the brand, has designed fabrics based on the charms she felt while walking around Kyoto. In designing the products, Yuki has exchanged opinions with many creators, including Ilary, who has modeled for the brand's product photography.
Craftsmanship
Kawai flag, a dyeing factory in Kyoto with a history of more than 100 years, supports the production of this brand. Yuki and other craftsmen dye fabrics by hand at this factory, and these fabrics become the basis of the products.
Materials
Our manufacturing process begins with the selection of fabrics. When choosing a white fabric, we consider whether it can be worn comfortably as well as a canvas for painting. We often use linen and double gauze cotton or silk fabrics to make our products.
